Since starting up in early 2018, we have organized a series of master classes, workshops, demos, and skill shares, as well as some meet-ups, social and festival outings to watch work together. All activities are organized by collective members.

When the pandemic hit, and nearly all production ceased, we began supporting each other virtually. The group became even more important to many of us, and we shared resources on a daily basis.

We organized a virtual panel session for IDA Getting Real 2020. Speakers were Gabriella Garcia Pardo, Princess Hairston, Vatsala Goel (a CDWC member) and Shandiin Tome. It was a fantastic conversation aligned with the conference themes of “Access, Power, and Possibility.”
Finally, in 2021, many of us are cautiously resuming production and in-person learning opportunities like these camera tests.
